We will be closed on Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January for evening service.

For hotel guests only: 

We can offer a tray meal served in your room on Monday evenings (Eur 25 per person). No catering available on Sunday evenings.

During the 2 summer months, our restaurant is open to hotel guests on Monday evenings with a reduced menu (2 menus to choose from, including the Cassoulet menu). It remains closed on Sunday evenings and Monday lunchtimes.

Traditional and revisited gourmet cuisine

Our restaurant, located near Revel, Castelnaudary and Lake Saint Ferréol, will introduce you to creative cuisine but with respect for traditions, based on fresh products and preferably from our region, in a place steeped in history.

Thanks to its different menus and its menu, constantly evolving according to the seasons and inspiration, the restaurant at the Auberge du Poids Public is ideal for a gourmet or business meal.

Philippe Jeansing, the Chef uses fresh products, carefully selected in partnership with our local producers and worked with finesse and respect for taste. Its menus evolve all year round according to the products, the season, its desires and inspirations while keeping in mind the historic cuisine of the Auberge and the dishes that have become “essential” in our restaurant.

Mikaël Altmann, our Pastry Chef, is passionate about baking and makes the bread served in the restaurant every day. By choosing exceptional local flours, its bread is elegant, crispy and tasty. With his team, he also creates and prepares all the sweets on our menu, adapting to the seasons and trends.

Our kitchen team knows how to adapt to any type of diet, restrictions or intolerances, your health and pleasure are our priority.

Our sommelier and Maitre d'Hôtel, Jean Pierre Pialoux, will guide you to the best choice from his exceptional wine list, based on your dishes, your tastes and your budget. A “Food and wine pairing” formula adapted to your menu will certainly suit you.

You will be comfortably installed in a bright room thanks to a large bay window, warmed by our fireplace in winter, with tones of honey and old stones or on our magnificent shaded terrace equipped with misters as soon as the temperatures rise. For more privacy, another room in ocher and brick tones is available for private group or work meals.

In any case, you will appreciate a breathtaking view of the Lauragais countryside

So much so that he received numerous requests and the most prestigious titles.

In May 2022, our Cassoulet was voted “ best Toulouse Cassoulet in the World ” just that! And in November 2022, we had the honor of receiving the Lucien Vanel prize in the best Cassoulet category .
